Plantronics Dsp 400 Driver Download

DriverGuide maintains an extensive archive of Windows drivers available for free download. We employ a team from around the world which adds hundreds of new drivers to our site every day. How to Install Drivers Once you download your new driver, then you need to install it. To install a driver in Windows, you will need to use a built-in utility called Device Manager. It allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

Many device drivers are not updated through the Microsoft Windows Update service. If you are having trouble finding the right driver, stop searching and fix driver problems faster with the Automatic Driver Update Utility. Automatic updates could save you hours of time.

The Driver Update Utility automatically finds, downloads and installs the right driver for your hardware and operating system. It will Update all of your drivers in just a few clicks, and even backup your drivers before making any changes.

Many computer problems are caused by missing or outdated device drivers, especially in Windows 11. If your desktop or laptop is running slow, or keeps crashing or hanging, there is a good chance that updating your drivers will fix the problem.

For the record, I like Windows Vista. However, for those of us who remember the Vista beta program and even early days of running Windows Vista it wasn't always fun - largely due to the driver support but there were plenty of bugs to avoid even in the later betas. When I purchased my MSI Wind (OEM rebadged as an Advent 4211 here in the UK) XP was pre-installed. I remember when I picked up my Wind from the local computer store the salesman tried to sell me on the fact that it came with XP rather than Vista which is not a good sign of Vista's reputation with consumers. That said, XP didn't last long on my Wind before Vista replaced it. The stock Wind runs a 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom processor on the Intel 945GSE chipset. As part of the initial batch of Winds, mine happily has the Synaptics touchpad. One of the many things I like about the Wind is that it is end-user upgradeable, but the only addition I have made was to upgrade it to 2Gb RAM as the stock Western Digital Scorpio 120GB hard drive is a pretty good one for a budget netbook.

Remembering the early days of the Vista beta program, I had to contrast this with the absolute delight that installing and running the PDC build (build 6801) of Windows 7 has been on this diminutive device. For a start stable drivers for the Wind were all available from Windows Update. To get them I first had to install the Realtek WiFi driver for Vista by changing the compatibility settings to trick the installer into thinking I was running Vista RTM. But once I had an internet connection, Windows Update found updated drivers for the graphics card, Wifi, Ethernet and even the SD card reader. Everything on the device appears to be working, including bluetooth and the built in webcam.

Hey Martin,Very interesting article.Like you, running Windows 7 on the Advent 4211. It's great for a pre-release OS.One question - where did you get the drivers for the microphone. I've used Realtek's Vista drivers, sound output is fine, but can't get the microphone working - either the inbuilt one, or external. Is yours OK?Thanks for a great article .. Simon

After reading your comments, I decided to install beta 7 on my MSI Wind. I panicked when I could not connect to the net even after installing the updated driver you recommended. The solution was so simple though....I picked up an ethernet cable and plugged it in. Updates started to flow *instantly* and the wireless came right up.

The default Microsoft generic "High Quality Audio" drivers appear to work better than installing the Vista ones from RealTek. That said - the internal mic still does not work very well. I have boosted the volume all the way that the Microsoft driver will let me (30db) and turned up the volume to 100% but I can only hear very faint sounds from the microphone and plenty of noise. I haven't tried the same process with the WiFi disabled (I hear that there are some issues with signal noise on the microphone wire from the WiFi antennna in the MSI Wind).

Have you had any luck finding drivers for the touchpad. Win7 thinks my Wind touchpad is a PS/2 mouse, so I can't stop the default tap-to-click feature. I'm tried loading separate drivers I've read about in the forums, but the menu item to disable that feature was greyed out. Any experience with this?

Because of this, you may see it after Windows tries to install the driver for a new device. Sometimes, it might prevent CD drives, Bluetooth hardware, or storage devices from showing up in This PC.

When you find the device that appears with an error, try unplugging that device, waiting a few minutes, then plugging it back in. If this has no effect, you should move onto updating or removing the driver for that device.

Often, a piece of hardware misbehaves because you have an outdated or incorrect driver installed for it. Head to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update (Windows 10) or Settings > Windows Update (Windows 11) to check for new updates, which is always a good idea when you're having Windows trouble.

Running this check for updates will also find driver updates. These can appear under View optional updates > Driver updates (Windows 10) or Advanced options > Optional updates (Windows 11), so make sure to check there too.

To update a specific driver that doesn't appear here, right-click it in the Device Manager and choose Update driver > Search automatically for drivers. This will check your computer for a newer driver.

If that doesn't do anything (which will often be the case), search for your device's name online to see if there's a newer driver available from the manufacturer. Follow our guide to updating old Windows drivers for more help. In case the latest driver doesn't work (perhaps the manufacturer rolled out a buggy update), you can try installing an older version. This isn't a good long-term solution, but it's worth attempting.

In case updating the device driver doesn't work, you should next try replacing or removing the driver. Right-click on the problematic device and choose Properties, followed by the Driver tab, for some options.

If you can't do this, you'll need to select Uninstall Device to completely remove it from your system. After doing so, reboot. Windows should install generic drivers for some devices, like mice and keyboards, upon restarting. However, you'll likely have to reinstall any manufacturer-specific drivers, like those for gaming mice, manually. 2ff7e9595c
