Luckily, cheat codes unlock permanently and don't need to be re-entered across multiple Episode stories (they are limited to each save slot, however). Character and ship unlocks automatically add them to your roster, no need to then buy them with Studs! Cheats, special modes, and modifiers will unlock permanently as well, but can be toggled on or off from the Extras section of the Holoprojector menu.
